Hell Ride Poem

Thank God I'm A Hellrider Boy

By Jimmy Jost aka Head-Cheesehead circa 2002

Well, life on the trail is not laid back
Ain't much an old Hell rider like me can't hack
It's early to rise, at the head of the pack
Thank God I'm a hellrider boy.

Ridin on the trail never did me no harm
Raisin' hell in Quebec and drinkin' up a storm.
The snow is good and groomed trails are the norm.
Thank God I'm a hellrider boy.

Well, I got me a fine machine, I got me old suit
When the sun's comin' up I know the whole route
And life ain't nothin' but trails and drinkin a full snout
Thank God I'm a hellrider boy.

When the ridin's all done and the sun's settin' low
I pull into the motel the gas and oil pretty low
But I know the beer and stories are gona flow
Thank God I'm a hellrider boy.

I'd play in the snow all day if I could
But the Prez and Cannooks wouldn't take it very good
So I snowmobile when I can and hell ride when I should
Thank God I'm a hellrider boy.

Well, I got me a fine machine, I got me old suit
When the sun's comin' up I know the whole route
And life ain't nothin' but trails and drinkin a full snout
Thank God I'm a hellrider boy.

I wouldn't trade my life for diamonds or jewels
I never was one of them money hungry fools
I'd rather have my snowmobile and my Hellrider buddies too
Thank God I'm a hellrider boy.

A lota Quebec riders think we're kinda mean
A lotta hellriders thinkin' that's mighty keen
Now you all know exactly what I mean
I thank God I'm a hellrider boy.

Well, I got me a fine machine, I got me old suit
When the sun's comin' up I know the whole route
And life ain't nothin' but trails and drinkin a full snout,
Thank God I'm a hellrider boy.

Well, my snowmobile is the Banks and mine till I die
And the bank would be nervious if they saw how I drive
To hell with those bankers down the trail I'm gonna fly
And thank God I'm a hellrider boy.

My daddy taught me how to work and play hard when I do
He taught me how to love Rouyn women and be careful too
Thank God I'm a hellrider boy.

Well, I got me a fine machine, I got me old suit
When the sun's comin' up I know the whole route
And life ain't nothin' but trails and drinkin a full snout,
Thank God I'm a Hellrider boy.
